03 — Speed & Agility

Speed that transfers to play

Science-backed speed and agility training — the qualities that decide a football match's biggest moments.

An Insight Into Real Speed

How we train

Speed KILLS — the defining moments in a game come from high-speed efforts that create a match-deciding action. Our speed work is informed by data and delivered in a structured way, using constraints and mechanics drills to build more efficient, explosive and reactive athletes. Youth and senior groups train every week.

  • Data-ledSessions follow the numbersSpeed gates and testing show what to work on — training follows the data, not the eye test.
  • Mechanics firstEfficient movement before outputConstraints and drills that build a cleaner, more economical sprint action.
  • ResultsMeasured, not estimatedAthletes are timed on the gates and retested through the block, so progress is measured against their own baseline — not a coach's impression.
  • DemandLimited spots, and they run out fastPlaces are limited and go quickly. Groups run weekly right through the off-season.

01 — The qualities

Four qualities that decide a match

Each is trained on its own terms — and each is built to show up in a game, not just on the track.

01

Maximum velocity

Top speed, reached efficiently and held. We coach the mechanics of sprinting — posture, arm action, ground contact — so the body produces speed with less wasted effort. It is what wins a foot race, a transition or a run in behind, and cleaner mechanics also lower the risk of a hamstring pulling up.

02

Acceleration & deceleration

Getting to full speed in the fewest steps — and stopping under control. Explosive starts win the first yard to the ball; braking well lets you change direction without losing balance or getting hurt. Trained together with resisted starts, short sprints and landing work.

03

Change of direction

Cutting, turning and re-accelerating while staying balanced and in control. Football is a constant shift in movement, and the sharper athlete creates space in attack and shuts it down in defence. Built from footwork patterns, deceleration strength and repetition at game speed.

04

Football-specific movement

The specific ways players move in a match — the curved run, the shuffle across the back line, the recovery sprint. Our coaches have played at a high level and teach the movements that actually show up on match day, so speed work looks like football, not just athletics.

The speed and agility classes gave my son confidence in himself and took his performance on the field to the next level.
